Partners

This CGIAR research program is led by the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI).

The International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT), the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA), the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences and WorldFish are the other core partners.

Many other strategic and value chain partners, both locally and internationally, will play key roles in the implementation of the program.

More broadly, partnership is a key element of the program’s theory of change – essential to achieve impact at scale. In October 2012, the program organized a pre-conference session on ‘Mobilizing AR4D partnerships’ at the Second Global Conference on Agricultural Research for Development (GCARD).
