Diana Brandes – van Dorresteijn, a capacity development specialist at ILRI has joined the CGIAR Research Program on Livestock and Fish. She has a decade of experience with the corporate private sector and will bring a wide range of management and implementation expertise on sustainable development and public private partnerships (PPP) to the program.
For the past five years, she worked as regional capacity development and program specialist for public private partnerships at the United Nations Development Program Bureau for Development Policy in Bangkok. She managed the global UNDP/PPP (trust fund) and provided advice and technical backstopping to UNDP country offices on multi-actor, multi-sectoral approaches to sustainable development.
Before that, she worked for VSO in Lithuania, Cameroon and Nepal, and SNV (Netherlands Development Organisation) in Nepal on Institutional Development/Organizational Strengthening. She holds an MSc degree in Sustainable Development from the University of London as well as marketing and management qualifications from Tilburg University and the Hogeschool Utrecht.
