Tanzania Dairy Development Forum holds second meeting

On 22 August 2013, the 2nd Dairy Development Forum (DDF) will be held at the Blue Pearl Hotel in Dar es Salaam.

The meeting aims to begin to co-create solutions for three systemic bottlenecks to dairy development in Tanzania which were identified in the first DDF meeting held on 22nd February, 2013:

  1. Gaps for dairy technology and agribusiness skills;
  2. Lack of clear strategies for expanding the national dairy herd; and
  3. Business solutions to allow year round availability of quality feeds.

The meeting will also hear progress on development of: the ‘Maziwa Zaidi’ Impact Pathways and the new Tanzania Dairy Board Strategic Plan.

Key dairy stakeholders including from the government, academic and research institutions, dairy development programmes, membership organisations and private sector are invited to participate in this meeting to begin to co-create solutions.
